What's it all about?
We're an all-volunteer, non-profit social club for couples and singles who, for whatever reason, have never had children. While our membership is made up of people from all walks of life and professions, NO KIDDING! is not a business.
The members of NO KIDDING! Edmonton, range in age from mid 20s to 50s, with most being in their 30s and 40s. We have all joined NO KIDDING! to be able to socialize with other adults who can be spontaneous, who can chat on the phone without interruptions, and who won't alienate them by talking about kids all the time.
- Our group exists to unite people of like mind and spirit, and provide opportunity for friendship, fun and camaraderie.
- It is primarily a social group, although sometimes we discuss 'the issues'.
- Singles, couples, old and young... there is a place for you in our group.
- The only rule is that you be child-free. This can be through choice or circumstance.
Most members of NO KIDDING! have thought long and hard about parenthood and many have concluded (for various reasons) that it really wasn't right for them, while some are still in the decision-making process. Still others will probably have children at sometime in the future, but aren't ready just yet, and some wanted to have kids but were unable to.
Some NO KIDDING! members adore children, some like children, some are neutral toward children, some dislike children, and some can't stand children. You're likely to meet people from all five categories at NO KIDDING! activities.
